Smoke Dawg; member from Halal gang (and Dream Team) collaborates with Londoner Skepta for “OVERSEAS”, proving that Skepta can build an audience outside of his grime sound, while they rap in the studio with red lighting and getting turnt with the 878 collective.
Skepta has been on a roll lately with the collaborations, last week’s “Back from the Dead” with Riff Raff, A$AP Mob’s “Money Man” and Section Boyz “#Worst” and now “OVERSEAS”—who knows who he will collab with next?
I’m sure most of you have heard of Skepta, but Smoke Dawg just recently got his track “Trap House” remixed by French Montana, giving him more of a buzz this past summer (in case you haven’t peeped that yet.) With trap production by Murda Beatz, who’s produced for a lot of Toronto based artists and is a Drake affiliate, “OVERSEAS” is a unique combination of both artists’ sound, and proof that collaborations like this are important in the music scene by showing how much each artist has to offer.
